Tunicate
Bulb by Bulb Sectioning
Step 1. Bulbs may be propagated by carefully cutting the bulbs into eight or more sections. Then remove the inner most layers. Step 2. Place a small amount of rooting hormone with a fungicide** in a zippered storage bag. Place the sections in the bag, zip the bag shut tightly and shake the bag to dust the bulb section with the mixture. Step 3. Holding the section inside the bag, shake off the excess powder, then remove the scale from the bag (wear rubber gloves, preferably disposable ones). Step 4. Fill the bottom of a small 3 inch pot with a mixture of 1 part peat and one part vermiculite (moistened). Add a treated bulb section and cover 2/3 of the bulb section with the peat/vermiculite mixture. Repeat this process for each section. |
