    Insecticide Question

    Hey Folks,
Been a while since I posted to this forum but I had a question and thought it might be the best place to get an answer.

I used to work at a local nursery and when we transplanted seedings into individual pots to grow on in the greenhouses, we sprinkled some kind of insecticide on the surface of the soil in the pots but I can't remember what it was. Does anyone have any idea what it might have been? (Zone 5b, OH)

I usually only use a granular slow release fertilizer in my pots but I do know that some people use Chipco® TopChoice™, with an active ingredient fipronil
for ants. I would not know its availability for your area.

Keep us updated with any further information on the subject matter - it would be of interest to know what the commercial growers are using and what for?
