    Landspro Upgrade

Landspro will be going down sometime in the next few days for the upgrade to the latest software.

I may or may not get a chance to warn you in advance, but please do not be alarmed if you notice that Landspro is down. The process should only take a matter of a few hours.

    Thanks for your patience!

Many thanks to all of YOU!

I expect problems. This is a major, major upgrade, but it will be well worth it.

Landspro should not be down for an extended period of time, and unfortunately, there may be little or no notice when the time comes. All I can tell you is that I am working on it, and the upgrade should occur within the next few days.

SO! If you see a message saying the forum is down or simply cannot access it, please do not be concerned. A full backup is being performed prior to the upgrades.

Once upgraded, there will be a BIG learning curve on my part. That will take time... But if I'm gonna do this, it really needs to be within the next week.

    Well...

The upgrade is complete, and as you can see, I still have a lot of work to do. But trust me! It is worth it!

At least, now I have the latest software to work with....

Now, I just have to learn to use it!

    Yeah!

It seems to be a lot of learning for all of us! I have to figure out how to get the attached images to show for members (only), and I know there is a way to have more smilies, etc. on the WYSIWYG editor.

It is going to take me awhile to consume all of this, so please forgive and be patient as I get all the new features implemented.

Yes, it is COOL! And about time, huh?

    Thanks!

I was so exhausted, I laid down and fell asleep, hard asleep!

It seems I still have so very much to do! I lsot my moderators, and I have no clue now where to go to set those up again.

There is so much that is NEW! It's been too many years...

    Hi, Everyone!

This morning, I am studying the documentation for this new version.

This afternoon, I will begin making modifications (like replacing the vBulletin logo with Landspro's logo).

Some of the Senior members are being listed as Registered, and hopefully, I will get that fixed as well.

If you wish to use smilies and the full blown editor, click on the double quote icond.

    Any questions? Please do ask!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Okay!

This is the story on the smiley faces. You click on the rightmost reply icon, then click on the "Go Advanced" button, and the full blown editor will appear along with the smileys and even more options (I think).

Now, for the senior member issue... Apparently, when the counters were updated, there was some sort of timeout, so I have to update the counters 100 at a time or something like that. Please be patient with me and that will be done eventually.

It will also take time to delete over 1,000 non-approved members. So far, I have seen some trying to register, but they are not getting through. If they are human, it is possible for them to register, so I will still have to moderate new members.

Changing the color styles is going to take quite some time also, so for now, at least until I learn this software better, I am leaving the colors alone.

Tom! I'm glad to see that you were able to post without any problems.

Yes, so far, everything seems to be working just FINE!

It looks very good Ann. I am very familiar with this look since the weather forums I go to use it. It takes a little time to get used to it but it isn't hard to use.
