10 troughs provide 30 sq. ft. soil and occupy only 60 sq.ft. area. I have 10 troughs of Lycoris radiata (Hurricane Lily) and these 10 have over 1200 bulbs. When full one person can easily drag the trough about with the handle or 2 people can carry it at will. They will easily fit in the bed of a pick-up truck and most SUV's. These troughs are reusable and emptied on their side on a sheet of heavy plastic or a tarp and the soil can be saved. They can be buried in a trench and when the bulbs are finished blooming moved to another location. Picture yourself driving up to the "Farmers Market" with a trough of Daffodils or Tulips or 120 blooming Hurricane Lilies. I'm sure you would not come home with them. For air circulation my troughs are off the ground on bricks.
