    Sharing photos of Peru

Wow, just realized I haven't been on the Forum in ages. Part of that was due to our mid November trip to Peru. It was absolutely fabulous. I'd like to share my photo album with you. Can be seen at http://txbeyer.myphotoalbum.com/albums.php

Not many plant pictures but it's a whole different world. Machu Picchu, Nasca lines, Penguins on Isla Bellastas, Lake Titicaca, etc.

    Bob,
Thank you so much for sharing those wonderful pictures. I have seen documentaries on Isla Belastas and Maacu Picchu. Fascinated by ancient ruins so really enjoyed those pictures.
In the historic house I have a question. The gold thing sitting in what looks like a parlor, is it a stove of some kind? If not, what is it?
I really enjoyed the tour of your pictures. Again, thanks for sharing.

Sue, it is a stove. This residence has been in the family of Pizzaro since the late 1500's continuously. It was quite a treat to be able to visit it on our tour as it's not generally open to the public.
