    Baccharis halimifolia shrub.

    Here is a common native plant that gets too little notice. In the late summer, after most other flowering shrubs have finished their show, this little thing appears along roadsides and in the edge of woods. You will see that on close inspection, they have a very interesting form. The little paint brush flowers become the carrier for seed distribution. There are several along the edge of our pond.

    Wow, the Euonymus Americanus looks so interesting. It looks a little like a lychee fruit to me.

    I like that, Tom. It reminds me of my Bottle Brush. How big does it get? I'm thinking they could make a cute couple.

    Here is a close up of the canna that I got this spring at a plant swap. And the second one is the center of the blooms of Clematis Korean Beauty. It blooms later than most but bfore the native Sweet autumn Clematis.
