    Dragonflies are beautiful

This Common Whitetail dragonfly paid a recent visit to our yard and chose a great place to be photographed - out brick house siding.

    Great picture, Bob!

I'm going to play with my Digital Macro pics some more.

Clerodendrum Ugandense, I think?!?! Anyway, the blooms are like a tiny blue butterfly, don't you think?

After a few tips from Bob my photography has improved.

I've taken this from the other side of the yard.

The Magnolia tree is 6 metres tall.

    Bob

You are a great teacher and your help is very much appreciated.

Now for a close up Magnolia pix.

    Photo Album of Close Ups

I have an embedded rotating photo album of close ups on my BLOG, Southeast Texas Gardener. I continue to enjoy taking close ups of things growing in my garden as part of the extended enjoyment of gardening.

You so lucky to have tulips - nothing like spring.

    Hearts-A-Bustin

Here in our local woods we occasionally run upon a plant at just the right time. This plant is Euonymus Americanus. Like it's cousin, the Burning Bush it has a beautiful display of deep red leaves in the fall. But the wonderfull part is the small seed pods that split open as the seed matures.

Later, as the maturing continues, the outer shell will start to turn brown, and the little seeds will turn yellow. This process only lasts a few days, and then they are gone.
