All of a sudden, the name Fatsia came to me...

Is it Fatsia Japonica, also know as "Japanese Aralia"?

I have seen masses of seeds on them before, but never tried to propagate it from cuttings or seeds.

It seems to like being in shade and does well in totally covered areas.

    Ann,
I've always thought that was a fascinating plant but alas not hardy for me. Thanks for posting that wonderful picture so us Zone 6ers can drool.

Lovely ! When I first saw it, I was reminded of Arboricola as in Schefflera--gee, I would get booted out of a nursery job in less than 10 minutes !!!!!

    Ann,

I believe it is a Fatsia, as that is the only thing that came to mind when I saw the image!
