    Wildflowers in Austin

How about this display of late spring wildflowers growing along a main thoroughfare in Austin. OK, it's not the early spring bluebonnets, indian paint brush, etc, that you see in most TX travel brochures, but what an encore! Included is bee balm, firewheel/indian blanket, mexican hat, and other composites

Texas is, indeed, a beautiful state and will always be a part of my heart!

Oh! One of these summers, I hope to be able to visit Texas! You make me homesick for my home away from home...

    Thanks!

    It's a Texas Thing!

Did a little artistic work with some of the TX wildflower pictures I took this year. Enjoy.

    Bob!

That is a fantastic display of blooms!

My purple coneflower is about to bloom. I should really plant more of those because I enjoy them so much.

I have tried and tried to grow Texas Blue Bonnets, but I don't think they like my acidic soil. Could that be?

Everyone! If you can ever manage to visit Texas in the spring when the huge fields of wildflowers are in bloom, you are in for a treat that will take your breath away...

    Thanks, Bob!
