    Little Critters

I didn't know how well this picture would turn out, but I think you will recognise him. After coming into the house, I suddenly felt this tickling on my arm. He is so tiny. I was afraid that I killed him when I captured him, but somehow I did manage to get him into a canning jar while I got the camera ready.

He is going to take a trip in a few minutes - to my greenhouse!

    LAS!

    He is so very tiny!

I suspect he crawled on my arm while I was trying to take photos of that variegated lacecap hydrangea! That's where I saw a big, fat MAMA last fall.

I tried to catch Mama to put her in the gh, but she was too quick!

Do these critters lay eggs or what?

    Isn't he cute?

I could not believe it! I have so little hair on my arms, but suddenly I felt it tickle, and I thought, "OH, No! I have gotten into fire ants again!".

    Then I saw him!

Thanks for the link! Now, I know what the egg casings look like.

    He is simply adorable!

When I let him go, I placed him on one of my amaryllis seedling leaves. He sat there and just watched me. His head cocking from one side to the other.

I was in awe watching him as he watched me.

Then, I thought, "Why didn't I have my camera ready?"

So, I came inside , prepared the camera and I couldn't believe it when he was still sitting on the end of that same leaf?

    Here are some shots...

There are so many more, but finally I realized that he was not moving from this leaf until I encouraged him.

So, I place my little finger just next to the leaf. He quickly hoped onto my finger, then ran up my arm, and there was that tickle again!

I gently brushed him off into one of the boxes of seedlings. Hopefully, he will stick around, and I will get to see him again!

    Precious!
