    What is GA-3 ?

I just read the following and don't understand it. What is GA-3?

The germination of all Thalictrums(Meadow Rue) is stimulated by GA-3. If not using it, cold treatment is usually required, and is more reliable.

The G A part is probably giberilic acid.

Thank you, John! It's always fantastic to see you back on Landspro.

    Cathy,

GA is not something that you want to do without a lot of knowledge in it.

Sometimes, simply sowing them in the ground in the winter months is enough to overcome the dormancy requirement.

Sounds like that is your best bet with this one. Simply plant the seeds, keep them moist and let the freeze/thaws do the GA thing for you. Let the experts deal with the acid...

    Thanks, John!

Sounds like a good book to put on my Christmas wish list! Come to think of it, I don't think I have any books on growing from seed...
