    Heat.

Heat makes things expand. That's why days are longer, in summer.

    ROFL!

How'd I miss this post earlier?

I know! It was that plant cell project that kept me busy much of the day and a trip to the school to work on my files, then lesson plans, then a trip back to school to find my missing hubcap.

Oh! The plant cell was made out of a huge peanut butter cookie, some clear gelatine eggs (flavored with invisible Kool-Aid). green sour straws and lots of other goodies (Hunter's favorites, of course).

You know what? I think I desperately need the LAS!

    Thanks!!!!

Whaa-aat ?! PNB cookies, invisble Kool-Aid. OK, this calls for a photo or else I'm gonna start to worry that you are overworked !!!!

John- That is very true since in summer it is light enough (to work) until 9 PM and we get 100+ degrees !

    LAS!

Yeah, our brains were expanding on this one. Hunter wanted to make it out of cake, brownies, etc., but I KNOW how messy that is. So, we compromised... I used a drop of green food coloring to make Vacuole. The clear egg is the Nucleus with a candy inside for the Nucleosus or did I get that backwards?!??!

I've gotta get busy and head to school early. It's raining and grad exams are today. Luck me! I get to be an administrator of one of the tests today.

I'm speechless; it is so amazing. I am inspired to refresh my memory on the parts of a plant cell.
    Truly a unique creation !

John, I do believe that your definition of heat hits the nail right on the head.

And all, Hunter and I really enjoyed working on this project together. That's priceless and worth so much more than a grade at school. He took it to school this morning expecting to bring it home this afternoon. Unfortunately, his science teacher won't have it graded until Thursday so it's in the refrigerator in the teachers' lounge making everyone hungry for a gigantic homemade peanut butter cookie. His first question when I got home was "Mama, will it still be good to eat on Thursday?"

    I said, "Sure!"

What ya wanna bet that I make another before then?
