The temp reading on a bank sign I saw on the way home was 102. I doubt that it was 'officially' 102 but I can tell you that it felt like that ! Had a thunderstorm early this morning and that just made it humid. The rain is putting a crimp in my planting. I guess I shouldn't complain because farmers are trying to cut wheat and obviously they don't want rain. While the wheat has turned brown for the most part I still see green out there. Don't know what the criteria is to cut. And yes, when the wind blows, they do look like "amber waves of grain".
