I recently bought 1.25 acres that has alot of pine and oak trees. Many are too close to the house so those will be cut down. I would really like to remove many of the pines since they are so dirty and make a mess of the property. I am really interested in Jacaranda's and Royal poincianas. Also maybe some of the "golden rain" types like Cassia or Tipu. My question is, will having had pines on my lawn for so long acidify the soil too much and will these trees all work well together? I want a very colorful yard that has some blooming trees for most of the year. Also does anyone have any hands on experience with Empress Pauwlonia trees in central florida? Are they hard to control? Thanks for any info.
