    Portulaca

I've always liked this plant, especially the doubled ones.

This one showed up from goodness knows where. I didn't plant it, and I haven't had any portulaca in the last couple of years.

Anyway, it is pretty and this young bee thinks it is downright tasty....

    Ann,
I too haven't had this in the gardens in a couple years. But I also have a volunteer.

Isn't it amazing? You never sowed the seeds. I don't even remember this particular variety. Yet, it sowed itself and there you are! A beautiful specimen....

Nature should always be so kind to us! Life is full of surprises....

I hope to harvest of few seeds of this one simply because the blooms have brought so much unexpected joy!
