    Plant ID

This beautiful small tree is just now beginning to flower. The trunk looks to be some kind of cherry, or peach. I've been trying to identify it so I can know how to propagate it, but so far no luck.

    Tom,
That is gorgeous!!! No wonder you want to propagate it.
    Sorry couldn't help.
    Thanks for sharing.

Every part of it says CHERRY to me. I cannot give you the cultivar. Reminds me of the University of Washington campus at this tiime of the year! Their trees are the Kwanza (I hope I have that right--I'm downstairs and the infor is up) Does it weep?

    It is really beautiful.

The form is upright, spreading, rounded.
I did a search on the Kwanza Image and it may be the one. Unfortunately the only thing I can find on 'propagation' mentions budding or grafting onto an understock, and very little of that. I'm in hopes that 'they' are referring to the weeping form and that rooted cuttings will work for the upright.

There is a little better view of the limbs/stems/new growth below. It has a slight tendency to develop cross limbs, and weak narrow crotch side branches. There is no 'central leader' on this one, but it may have been prunned to that form, but it looks to be natural.
