    Persian Shield...

    I don't know if you recall, but when they were removing the old pecan tree from the house, a limb fell on my Persian Shield and there wasn't much left but a stub at the base. I have kept it water, and it is getting more sun than it is used to getting, but I am pleased to report that pruning this plant and giving it just a little more sun and lots of water is good for it.

    You can't tell by the picture, but these leaves are smaller than 1/4th their normal size. I think I like them more denser and smaller.

    I like this plant. They are not expensive on the market anymore. Usually, they run about $3-4 per gallon pot.

    They are easy to root, but they are tropical.
