Strawberry's - when to uncover

Hi folks,

I planted strawberries last year and have them covered in straw for winter time. When is it OK to uncover them? Around the last frost date? (mid-late May here in OH).

This is my first go-around with strawberries aside from having them last year when I planted them.

The article tells you at what temperatures the strawberry plants will survive and lots of other tips. The variety also makes a difference.

It is often in the news that they use water sprinklers to protect the strawberry plants on freezing nights.
