    Question Zenias

This is the first year that we planted a lot of Zenias and I thougt that they were all but finished. Then ... it turned off cool and they put on like crazy .... much better than in the summer. How long will they continue (first frost?).

    Thanks,

    Jim

Jim- Isn't it a neat surprise when the bedraggled plants get one more burst of energy once it gets cooler and also once it rains good.
Well, you know these flowers are annuals so once you get a frost, it's 'hasta la vista' zenias(maybe that should be 'hosta' la vista hostas)
A little regional insight: back east we called these zinnias and pronounce it 'zinnyyuz'. After I had been in Kansas about 5-6 years, a co-worker was talking about zeen-yuz and that just tickled me and still does.

    Yep!

It is amazing how good my yard is looking now .. the 100+ weather almost did me in but it really recovered. Wish I could live where the weather was like this all of the time.

    Thanks for the reply,

    jim
