For those of us without a greenhouse.

I got some rose cuttings, and wanted to propagate them.
I've read that they need bottom heat in order to propagate.
I have 5 cuttings in a pot, the medium I used is vermiculite, and soil moist. They have been in the pot for two weeks now and showing new growth, they are developing roots as they do not pull out of the soil.

I keep the pot on the top of my refridgerator, this is not a pretty site but it is helping with the bottom heat. Since the fridge is warm, on top. I Welcome you to try this method with rose clippings.

Since winter is coming, I will not be able to propagate the cuttings outside very well since I don't have a green house.
I could actually fit about 4 pots on the fridge, and 5 cuttings in each pot. So this will allow me to grow roses all through the winter.

If you are worried about the eye sore, don't let it bother you too much. For anyone that knows you, and knows that you own, or are starting a nursery will understand.

That's all!
The fridge as bottom heat!
Have Fun
