If any regular member of Landspro would like some lace bark elm saplings(12-18 inches) and wouldn't mind as I experiment with mailing them ( I know I've received dormant ones but these were removed from the ground, are bare root and currently in water), let me know. They can be grown as hedge if you catch them early on and prune. Otherwise they will grow to tree size. Good for hedge rows. I will tell you now that the parent Lace Bark is very prolific and that is why I have so many saplings(the parent tree is in my neighbor's yard). I have at least 10 of them. I may also have a River Birch about 12 -16 inches. I cannot guarantee anything will survive mailing; this would be purely experimental in nature. I'd just ask to reimburse the postage.
