Hunter is finally getting his appetite back. At 8am this morning, he wanted to cook some macaroni and cheese, the boxed kind...

So, he grabbed a cereal sized bowl and said, is this big enough. I said, "Oh, my goodness, NO! You need one of those really large bowls."

So, he opened the cabinet and got out a large soup bowl, and said, "Is this big enough?"

"Oh, my goodness, NO! A BIG bowl!"

Then he said, "I can do this, Mom! It calls for 6 cups of water and 1/4th cup of milk and 4 Tablespoons of butter."

I said, "Whoops! I think you missed the part of the instructions that says to boil the macoroni first, then drain and add the rest."

So, guess who got to cook the Macaroni and Cheese? You got it! I think I need to do a better job of teaching my young one to COOK!

At least he is hungry again! I was worried sick because I missed his being HUNGRY when I get home. Always HUNGRY!

LOL! Kids, do the darnest things. :)

Reminds me of when I was 18 and my cousin was recently married. We went there for dinner, and my CIL (cousin in law) was in the kitchen for awhile and I asked if she needed any help. She was scrubbing the potatoes in a sinkful of sudsy water (they had been soaking for about 15 minutes!)! Needless to say, I'm like ummmmm, Terri I don't think that is such a good idea. She's like well they were really dirty!
I talked her into scraping those and just scrubbing the others with plain water.:D

LOL! Gee whiz Vicki, thank goodness she didn't throw them in the dishwasher(or maybe thank goodness she didn't have one!).

Ann- Super ! Appetite is a sure sign of recovery ! Mac & Cheese--great comfort food. Oh my, hopefully Hunter now knows the mystery of pasta--that so little makes so much. And, oh yes, boiling water is a must !:D

Mommy is much happier! :smiley-thankx:

When the doctor told me to not expect full recovery until the end of December, I thought "No WAY!" But, unfortunately, he was correct.

I'm looking forward to NOT hearing, "Mama, I don't feel good." I'm looking forward to his helping me wash the car and do some digging and helping in the garden. I'm looking forward to coming home from school and hearing "I'm hungry, Mama!"

LAS! Hunter is a pasta and rice freak! He loves veggies and fruit, but Pasta and rice are his favorite and have been since he was a tiny toddler.

Shrimp gumbo is his very favorite!
