For years, I grew annual flowers from seed. They tend to stop blooming when they go to seed in mid-summer, so I started concentrating on perenials that bloom in the fall... Alas! My last chance to see flowers ends when the first frost occurs.
Anyway, this is one of those plants that I absolutely adore. I thank my Master Gardener friend for sharing this one with me. I now have numerous vines, and this is one that decided to climb an oak tree that a squirrel planted. I didn't have the heart to destroy the tree because I wanted to see these blooms!
An ugly tree, but beautiful blooms~!
