Well! I missed the bloom, so I do not know if it was really yellow, BUT....
Here is the pod!

I purchased 5 yellow rainlilies this year - only one bloomed, it was more a lemon colour and about an inch in size, but I too did not get a pix - hardly seemed worthwhile to get a camera for one lonely bloom.
But I am envious - I did not get a beautiful pod, the dear little thing it is. I must add it to my collection of pods.

This sweet little thing did produce little black seeds. They were sort of like little daylily seeds. I tried to germinate them, but I think I waited too long or something. None germinated.
Hopefully, I will get another chance this year.
And, YES! I enjoy seed pods as well. I suppose I should take more pictures of them and send them to you, huh? We could oooh and ahhhh over them together.

BOO HOO!!
What a sad ending to that dear little pod - no babies.

Ann,
How did you store those little pearls? Perhaps they need cold stratification? If you still have the pot, slip it into a baggie and stick the whole thing in the fridge for 4 to 6 weeks and then see if they won't eventually come up.
And do try again to self them as I would love to have a start of them, all I have is the common pink ones, tons of them!

Rebecca,
They have multiplied, so I do hope that I will have more blooms this year. I totally missed seeing the one that produced a seed pod last year.
If another pod is produced, I will do as you say and refrigerate it for a bit. I could find no information regarding germination of them.
Unfortunately, I feel in my heart, that I waited too long to plant them. Life was a little hectic at the time...
