What is This?

Every spring, I see this one flowering in a neighbor's yard, and I wonder what it is.

I found out this morning. Lowes had them in the garden center.

It is a Lavender Lady Chastetree, and it grows to 20 feet tall and is hardy to -10 degrees F. It is deciduous.

Botanical name: Vitex 'Lavender Lady'

Vitex is in bloom in Austin also and very pretty, however, it is on the list of plants to avoid in Texas (invasives).

Gorgeous blooms but the top growth(foliage) of the tree/shrub looks sparse(maybe hurricane damage).
