Hydrangeas

This is not the typical blue one that you see around here. It was purchased as a blooming houseplant (on sale), and I planted two of them and hoped for the best.

I have truly enjoyed these, but the one that is now covered by the porch is not getting enough sun.

We grow hydrangeas in full sun, just like azaleas...

Sigh!

They are suffering from drought this year. It is the first year that that I have actually seen the blooms look wilted when I come home from school.

So, sad... But I am watering them as much as I can, and I am in awe over the discounted florist hydrangea that is doing so well in my garden.

I adore the different colored blooms. Pink is nice, but the purple/lavender is to die for...
