Leaves have been up for awhile. Scapes are popping up everywhere.
I should have blooms in the next few weeks.
Confusing winter...

I spotted the first two flowers to open yesterday afternoon. Others are getting ready to start opening.
I guess that means that winter is here, but the weather we are having now doesn't feel like winter. It has been consistently in the 70's, but I doubt that will last much longer.
Camelias are also starting to bloom, more and more. These get me by until the amaryllis start blooming more.

I usually force paperwhites every year, but somehow the ones I did this fall did not develop blooms. I did not refridgerate them this fall, and I do usually do that for a month or so, and that is probably the answer. Hope the forced daffs or crocuses will still bloom for me......otherwise, I will need to await the ones outside and they are certainly confused at this point with the weather.
Darn, I was looking forward to a nice fragrant house!!
