It is Wednesday already, and today is Tom's Birthday, and I decided to do something different. I am putting the B'day wishes under his specialty, trees and shrubs.

Yes, today is my birthday. It's one more in a very long series, but I feel great. Yesterday I treated myself to a special gift, a brand new Cable Modem and a High Speed connection with my ISP, and it's flying!

Spent a quiet day, mostly inside out of the HOT weather, and playing with the new HS toy. It's still really dry here, so I have to get out and water all the pots, flower beds, and new plantings each day.

I got another new toy today from my son. It's a fake owl that sits on a post, or hangs in a tree to scare away the critters. I hope it works on squirrels in my pear tree, and cardinals in the fig and plum trees,

It is interesting to look back. The original of this thread was 1 year ago (Yep, I've had another one, same date this year as last)

Anyway, last year I got my new HS service installed. This year, the cable was out of service for the past 28 hours. Other than that, it has been a very good day.
