This Mama started out with 5 ducklings (that I know of) and now has 3. They have gotten very big. And fearless ! They will plow right into the feeding adult ducks. Yes, they often get pinched and let out a squeel but keep on at it. Mama occasionally will take a male to task. In this photo, I cheated and called them into the yard to get them away from the others. We will not feed any of them in the yard though , so they learn to eat outside of the fence(we just don't want any accidents with our dog or to teach them that yards are OK). Notice Mama is having to check on duckling #3 who thinks it is rest time !
