Moving Dwarf or Intermediate pine

I have a dwarf or intermediate pine(about 1 foot tall and 3 feet wide) that I‘m thinking of moving but I wonder how deep down to expect those roots to be. After the rose bush boondoggle I am ‘once bit, twice shy!. Any ideas on how deep those roots go and if small ornamental pines are tempermental when you try to move them ?

Every pine I have ever dug be it jack pine, white pine, blue spruce, have shallow roots, kinda like an upside down umbrella. Make sure you keep it well watered when you do transplant it.
