The early Azaleas are starting to bloom. Every day, they seem to get brighter and brighter and more and more of them are blooming.
The ones that I enjoy the most are the huge old timey ones that grow 6-12 foot tall. These are typically not pruned very often, and provide an amazing display of color starting this time of the year.
My neighbor has this dwarf, double pink with small but really pretty flowers. Every year, I tell myself that I am going to start some cuttings.
Mmmmmmhhhhh! I think I had better mark a few branches because after they bloom, it is difficult to tell which is which and they have them planted very close together.
It's certainly a sign of spring and a very welcome sign at that.
Now, if they could only get those wonderful, new air conditioners at school to be operational. It was HOT today.
