Found some seeds I'd collected in 2004 from that poor sugar maple I am trying to copy. Soaked them in water for 24 hours and put them in a moist paper towel, in a baggie labeled, and into the refrige butter container for 100 days. Hope this works, don't know if the seeds are even viable but heck, might as well try. I think I can germinate/stratify Japanese maple seeds the same way.
