I have astilbe that I planted last year and was tickled that I only lost one over the winter. I bought 5 more in early spring and kept them in pots(procrastination). I gave away 2. Of the 3 remaining --only one sprouted early on. I left the pots anyway. Yesterday, the other 2 pots started to sprout ! So, procrastination in gardening sometimes works(I'm glad I didn't pitch them).
