This is a small flower, but there are large clusters of blooms and resemble what might be a miniature gladiolous.

I will post a couple of colors, but there are more. They tend to close in the late afternoon.

They are planted amongst the daffodils, so that when the daffodils fade, these will give additional color.

Some of the new ones that I planted last year have already started to pop up. Actually, the ones that have come up are about 8" tall.

When I buy these bulbs, they are at significantly reduced prices. They are so small and very easy to plant. Even if they didn't come back every year, they are less expensive than annuals and a whole lot easier than seeds.

Besides, it is wonderful to have such early blooms! They will be much earlier this year becuase they are leftovers (in the ground) from last year.

What a treat!
