Clytostoma callistegioides

This is a really pretty flower, and it is not rampant. However, it does tend to soil layer itself. It works well planted amongst my climbing roses and adds an additional color here and there which I really like.

The blooms are larger than you think. They are about 2.5-3 inches wide.

Unfortunately, it is only hardy to zone 8a, but what can I say! I look forward to the blooms every year.

It's such a thrill to see this vine. It is not a dense vine, so it sort of mingles amongst the roses and other vines.
