These are my neighbor's. I really need to try some cuttings, but they are tough, or so they say, to root.
Here is the orange/red one...

I missed getting pictures of the pink one, but here is the yellow which is winding down in blooms.

Ann, those are wonderful azaleas. If you make some cuttings, could you put a few of each in for me? The colors are just stunning.
I don't know how well they will do here. All I ever see are a few very standard colors of evergreen azaleas. Coming from the Pacific Northwest, I hunger for the deciduous type. I would like to experiment with some of them here, and see if lots of mulch could do the trick. Any opinions on that idea from anyone??

Ann, The native azaleas are beautiful. I love the yellow and orange. A lady told me last weekend that she starts them under jars just like roses. I don't know but worth a try as they are reportedly hard to start.

I will give that a try. It sounds a lot like rooting roses.
I'll have to do some research into that, Sandi! I'll try to make several so that you can give it a try.
