Purple Smoke Bush....

I know that many of you enjoy this tree, and I have enjoyed it for several years.

This year, though, I was getting worried that it would not survive the hurricane thing. It is leaning badly, but I haven't uprighted it for fear that I would do further damage.

I scraped it, and I found green, but it seemed that it didn't want to sprout new leaves.

This week, it is starting to get leaves, so I know for sure that it is alive.

I know that many of you have no trouble with this beauty, but I was told it would be difficult to grow here.

I am thrilled to see that it is still alive!

Isn't it always wonderful to realize what you thought you lost, isn't lost at all!
Eagerly awaiting things to start popping up here. Actually can see the tips of my daffs (hope I didn't plant them to deep!), the garden phlox are up about an inch, ditto for the iris. Daylilies are just starting to poke through also.
All my snow is gone except for on the north side of the house and my flower beds really look like minature graveyards! LOL!
62 here and sunny. Gotta go much to nice to be inside!
