I have several that I need to add to the list. One in particular is quickly going toward the top of the list as a favorite. That one is 'The Fairy'. I have mentioned it several times. I started it from cuttings that my sister brought to me from Texas.

Another favorite is the old rose from my mother's house. I have posted numerous pictures of that one also.

The others include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Emmie Gray - Bermuda Rose – various shades of pink that fade to scarlet. 3-6 ‘, Repeat

2. Chestnut Rose – 1814 – Species – very double, pink very doubled, hips resemble chestnut burrs, tiny leaves. 5-7 ‘, Z6-9, Repeat

3. Blush Noisette – 1817 – Noisette – white with a hint of pink, (? very double) and clustered, heaviest in fall, 4-8 ‘, zones 6-9, Frangrant, dark pink bud, light pink bloom

4. CL Cecil Brunner – 1894 – Polyantha – ‘The Sweetheart Rose’, light pink clusters, Z6-9, 20-30’, Repeat, Fragrant

5. Bermuda Spice – creamy to light pink, large double

6. Bermuda Kathleen – Unknown – Bermuda Rose – Single rose with soft pink, medium pink and dark pink petals. 5-6 feet, no fragrance, Repeat bloomer.

7. Marie Van Houtte- 1871 Tea – cream yellow, deeper in the center with pink tips on the edge of petals. 4-6 ft Z7-9 Repeat, Fragant

8. Champney

9. CL Clotilde Support – 1902 Polyantha, pink in middle, large very double flower clusters of 8, 12-15’, Z6-9, Repeat, Fragrant

10. Mrs. B.R. Cant – 1901 Tea, Dark rose with lighter pink in middle, very double, large flower 5-8’, Z7-9, Fragrant Clusters of 6

11. Jean Bach Sisley – 1889 – China – inner color of silvery rose, with the backs of petals a darker salmon rose veined with carmine. 4-6 ft, Z7-9, Repeat Fragrant

12. Champney Pink Cluster – 1811 – Noisette – clusters of small double light pink (almost white) flowers. 4-8 ft, Z6-9, Repeat, Fragrant

13. Prosperity – 1919 Hybrid Musk – ‘Perle des Jardins’ Parent of Prosperity – sweet fragrance, clustered double flowers, medium, ivory with pale pink buds. 5-7’ Z6-9 Repeat. Shrub

14. Seven Sisters – 1817 Hybrid multiflora – clusters of varieties of colors that fade from purple to cream, non repeat, 15-20 ‘, Z5-9. non-repeat

15. Reine des Viloettes – 1860 Hybrid Perpetual – muted cerise lilac. Chunky bush 5 ‘X5’ Repeat, fragrant

16. Lamarque – 1830 - Noisette, double white blooms with creamy yellow center. Climbing. 12 – 20 ‘, Z7-9, Repeat, Fragrant

There are a few others, but they have not been planted in my gardens yet.

Hopefully, one day, I can take pictures of the blooms of each of them. If I were to choose only a few to keep, it would definitely be the repeat bloomers.

:( Only one hardy to zone 5? Now that just isn't right!

That's according to the research I did a couple of years ago. If you find out differently, please let me know.

Good NEWS! The Fairy is hardy to zone 4.

Actually, there are a lot of hardy OGR's. These happen to be the ones that I have collected over the years.
