I have never seen the weather like it has been.

We have a light cold front, barely freezing temps.

After the hard freeze a couple of weeks ago that forced me to make precautions to protect plants, I have wished that there was an easier way to switch from freezing/frost to warm.

Just nature, I suppose...

The next week offers near frost conditions, but no hard freezes here.

I can't hope but wonder when the extreme temperatures are going to hit?

We were supposed to have hard rains today. The squall lines came through, and heavy winds were prevelant, but no heavy rains or flooding.

The next week is gong to be cooler, but not too cold.

We didn't get much rain, but did get a lot of strong wind.

BUT!!!! We are now getting the cooler weather. Lows are now forecasted in lower 30's for the next 5-6 days. Then, lower 40s followed by lower 30's again.

Looks like winter is at least trying to put on a show. It's hard to believe that we have had so much warm weather as of late.

Actually, the cooler weather is a nice break for us. I just don't like the frosts and hard freezes.

Two more months for us before the average last frost date...

I have a sneaky suspicion though that there will be a late frost because of the mild winter.

We will see...

They are now forecasting a hard freeze tomorrow night and the next night....

One never knows around here until the very last minute!

LAS! Tis' the way it is! I am glad I have the next two days off...

28 degrees tonight and 23 tomorrow night....

Both are really cold for here, but add the fact that we have not had a single frost for weeks, subtropicals are sprouting, and gee, I think it is simply because I have the day off, LAS!

Actually, all will be okay. I will cover the Thunbergia which is not 8 inches tall and hope for the best. I moved all the recently potted (transplanted) daylilies to the old greenhouse which will not be heated, but they will be okay. Just won't freeze solid, I hope...

Everything else will just have to do its best, and I suspect they will just be fine.

But, oh MY, 23 is cold!

Are any of you going below zero? OUCH!!!!
