I truly look forward to this bulb sprouting. The foliage is pretty, and the bloom is really, really neat.

They say it comes in red and pink, I think. But I don't have any of those.

I have never tried to propagate it. It seems to do quite well multiplying on its own. I have two pots of it, and one day, some will be placed in the ground.

I am a little protective of some of my plants, but I must admit this one is not given any kind of special consideration when it comes to freezing weather. It is hardy to about 10 degrees.

As cut flowers you cannot beat these lilies - they last for months in the vase.

Thanks, Abby!

I never even thought about using them for cut flowers!!!!! That is a cool idea!

Flowers are forming now, so hopefully, I will remember to take a picture.

Also, it would help to spell it correctly, so I'll fix that!

I hope you have not forgotten to take a pix of the one with the pink edge - I am dying to see what colour it is. :)

Abby,

They bloom petals are white. I was hoping that there would be other colors, but the two that are in bloom are white.

I will take a picture when more blooms open.

Right now, I have a few days off, so I am researching upgrading this forum software.

I absolutely MUST get rid of these spammers that keep joining. I have managed to block them from posting, but they still exist.

My collection was not large, but they were in 3 gallon pots and unfortunately, left outside to see if they would withstand the 17 degree record low. They didn't. They are all gone, but I will try again. They normally survive our winters in pots, so next time, I will simply plant them in the ground and wish for the best. Most of them are easily replaceable, and they are not expensive, so I will try again.

I believe your first white one is E. Frank Lawley

This is the last of my Eucomis blooms.

It is a maiden bloom from my cross of E. Autumnalis x E. Sparkling Burgandy

Sorry about the horizontal position but unfortunatelly it was blown over by a gale wind overnight, so I will just have to enjoy the bloom indoors.

Hmm! might have to get a rid of a few bugs of it first which I had not noticed till now http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t287/jetak/XMAS/mean-1.gif
