How long before cuttings?

Hi! Had to buy a Pink Mandiville (sp?) today after reading your post about one. I can't wait to start clippings.
It is still in the pot, but I will plant tomorrow.
How long should I wait before I begin cuttings?
It is in a one gl. pot and about 3' tall.:D :confused: ;)

Kathy,

Yours may still be a bit small. You need semi hardwood cuttings. You can use new growth, but it is more difficult. The new growth tends to wilt. I am sure you know to always leave some green on your plant, but others may not. I am learning not to take it for granted that everyone knows.

If you leave at least two or three sets of leaves, new growth will be made on those nodes and your vine will be fuller.:)
