Shepp, Bird feeders are great. I love watching my little chickadees and nuthatches. And Pickles (the pot belly pig) loves to clean up any seed they drop. William I am assuming you will not be hauling potting soil and plants around in the PT Cruiser. Right?
Glad you guys had a good Christmas.

I would have been happy with a truck that has a removeable camper.... It doesn't have to be new. In fact, I would prefer that it not! It will be for hualing! Maybe, just maybe (I HOPE), next year!
I received money and a heavy, decorative copper watering can, another, more antiqued, beaten metal look, I suppose, watering can and a decorative copper bird house. All for my patio.... That is, when all of these plants go out for the winter!
I received a network router so that Hunter's computer will be on the internet. I have a lot to learn before I install that one.
Best of all, a wonderful friend sent me a LOT of daylily seeds. I sowed them a couple of weeks ago, and they are about 2-4 inches tall. I have been potting some up every day, carefully labeling them just as my friend had done with the parentage, date harvested, etc.
I received 2 weeks off from school. Not all of that is FUN time, but I am squeezing in some time for my plants. I repotted most of my Rex Begonias, and I'll be taking some leaf cuttings during the next week. But the daylily seedlings come first!
It's enough to make a person have spring fever, not to mention seed fever....
Thank goodness I will only be taking one course at night this winter, and I won't be so very new at being a teacher.
One Step at a Time, huh?
Happy NEW YEAR!!!!

Well, humph! I didn't get any garden related presents! How can that be!! Of course I suppose I could count all those spider daylily seeds I won at the Auction, and the plants I won at the Chatters auction, which means I will be having Christmas again this summer when the new plants bloom :D (unless they sulk!)
The plants I won are 'Fan Club'
Flying Saucer Blues
Wilson Spider
Victoria's Secret, and
Spacecoast White Out
I was out-bid on several others I would have loved to have had. :( Like Spacecoast Cream Supreme and Victorian Lace (went for $90!)
My grandkids did get me the cutest crystal angel votive holder though and we got to spend some time together!
Alrighty then, back to the cataloges and web sites to see if I can find just the right newer white daylily for my breeding program!

Hey gang, sorry I got over on the daylily forum, too.
Speaking of catalogs, I got 2 today. Guess I'll be up all night drooling over them. One is for liners and one for herb seeds and plants, my pet project. Hope to have seeds for some of the more unusual herbs this year to sell. Does anyone else out there do a lot of herbs? It is my best seller at the farmers market. Would love to have someone to share info with.
No milk and cookies, my Santa likes to garden too.

I got a compost tumbler for my christmas gift. I am just trying to get all the brown weeds to go into it while I have a chance.
Wags, glad to see you made it over here!

For my birthday I got enough money to send off my seed order. And some plants and seed I had won on e-bay came. That was fun. Just like I bought myself some presents. I'll have to get those new plants into the warm before it gets cold this week. I dread 13 degrees tomorrow night.
