Rose Question

A lot of my rose bushes are showing brown leaves ... no spots just brown and then shedding them. This is affecting both hybrid and OGRs .... any help apprectiated. Doesn't appear serious ... still putting on green leaves.

Tim- I bet you didnt spray your roses with a fungicide. it sounds like fungus and needs to be sprayed.

My roses are green incl the ones that are at the nursery. Spraying them keeps them healthy.

Tim do your roses bloom. I had customers tell me that they never want to buy a rose again because they never bloom. George.

Jim, Are the roses lacking for water. Sometimes that will cause the leaf tip to brown. Also I think people do not realize that roses need a lot of water to bloom and if the are kept deadheaded they often continue blooming over a longer period of time.

Yep .... roses blooming their hearts out ... especially the OGRs ..... Katy Road and Belinda's Dream are going crazy. Could be water ... we are dry. No ... wait a minute .. we were dry ...... now we worry about kids falling in the cracks and not being able to get them out.

Trying to keep it all watered ...... and have about 4"of mulch but still drys out really fast. Deep water .. slow trickle when I water. Let it soak in.

No black spot trouble ... to speak of .... little every now and then but not doing any damage .... just pick off leaves and get rid of them.
