Oh Guacomolies! (sp?)

Hi,

Okay, so I'm tired of paying $1.00 for ever single Avacado, I buy!

for something that is only twice the size of a .50 cent peice (coin)

I've tried to root them the old kindergaten way. You know with the toothpick poked in the sides and dangling in water, in a plastic cup.

No Roots been at least a month now. How can I get one to root?

I just love this tender fruit, and snack on them for lunch, so I'd like to grow my own and save at least a few $$$$ every week.
HELP!

Kathy,

You know me. I hate to have to report bad news. I, too, would have liked to have grown one of these beauties. But, then I saw on an educational TV show that the ones you grow from the seeds will most likely NOT produce fruit. However, they said that the plant makes a beautiful house plant.

So much for that one... I never tried the seed after I found out that you need to actually buy the plant to get one that will produce.

Please let us know if you find out something different from this.
