As promised, I took some video this morning and loaded the images onto the computer this afternoon. I still have more pictures to add, but I must get the botanical names first, and I will be taking some more pictures tomorrow.

I tried to add information that I have at this time about each plant. Hopefully, I will be able to add more later.

Don't forget to close the window after you view the pictures, so you can come back to the forum and tell me what you think.

There is one picture that I was thrilled to get. Can you guess which one?

It wouldn't surprise me if everyone starts watching for your local botanical garden sales after you visit the pages I am creating.

Enjoy!

Hi,

What really neat plants! Did you get any of them? There sure are many of them that i'd just love to get my hands on!
My guess is the

Agapanthus pitcher plant with the long dangling green and white pitcher.
or the serrencinea (sp?)
Gosh, they really have some strange looking plants, and I like strange!!!!!

Can't wait to see more!
Thanks

Kathy,

There is so, so very many more images ready to put up. Like some variegated ginger that has red stems and is gorgeous. They smell so sweet, like a stong perfume.

There is a mauve/purple Lady Banks Rose that I must, must have some way or another.

The only thing is that most of the plants are so big and healthy, that the price tags match their size. Great stock plants, not the little things you get at Walmart, etc.

Price tags for the larger plants are betweeen $15-$22, but that is not really bad considering they are exceptionally healthy and BIG! Not those tiny things you find for $4 or so.

I can't imagine how much time is spent planning for this sale and selecting the unusual plants that they have, not to speak of ordering them and organizing the event. They actually have 100 red maples to be delivered.

And, gee, so many plants for under $8 that are unusual. And, you bet, I am balancing my check book, trying to figure out how much I can buy this year. Ouch, that is painful... I need to win a lottery or something.

And best to come will be the pictures of the small nurseries who are supplying some of the plants. I have pictures of the delivery trailer that they use, along with the way they set up storage in the utility trailer and the sign on the side of the truck that hauls the trailer of goods. Great, for those of you considering small nurseries. I even had permission to take video of the young lady in charge in front of the most beautiful petunias with massive blooms. I can't wait to get the images loaded to share.

So much potential...
