Ann,
Being the seed person I think this question is for you. Red twig dogwood seeds. The bush was covered with blue berries, that have since turned white. I removed them and put in large bowl.
These are the seeds right? Now what?
Thanks for all you do!
Happy Growing,

Hi Vicki,
I'm not a real seed person. But yes, I think you are right.
I know about the other Dogwoods have seeds that turn red, and when they fall to the ground they are ready to stratisfy.
I'm not sure about the Red twig Dogwood. I think the method for Dogwoods is.
soak in Warm water, then let sit in water for 24 hours. Scor the seed capsule, and then place in a mixture. I've heard of several methods corn starch, vermiculite, peat moss, the list goes on. Don't know which one is best. But take a look at Ann's suggestions for the mixture on seeds. I think she uses vermiculite. Dampen mixture, and put in fridge for 3 months checking every few weeks, and opening bag to allow air in.
You could try this method, but maybe you should really wait for Ann to respond, cause I'm no good with growing seeds!
Sorry,
